We had an incredible experience on the Pablo Escobar, Comuna 13 with Cable Car tour. Our guide, Jaime, was outstanding—knowledgeable, engaging, and above all, unbiased. He offered a balanced and deeply informative perspective on Medellín’s complex past, particularly the impact of Pablo Escobar, without glorifying or sensationalizing it. As we moved through different parts of the city, Jaime helped us understand how Medellín has transformed over the years—from a city plagued by violence to one embracing innovation, art, and community. The visit to Comuna 13 was especially powerful. Jaime explained the history behind its struggles and resilience, and the role of art and local initiatives in its incredible revival. The street art was stunning and the atmosphere vibrant with life and hope. Riding the cable car gave us a literal and symbolic view of Medellín’s journey—seeing the city from above while learning how these systems have improved connectivity and opportunity for communities once isolated. This tour was much more than a sightseeing trip—it was a thoughtful, eye-opening experience. Thanks to Jaime, we walked away with a richer understanding of Medellín’s history and its ongoing journey toward a better future. Highly recommended!
